How does PowderAI work?

We gather aggregate data from a number of meteorological sources as well as snow reports of individual resorts then compare that to your own selected user preferences to provide an individually tailored recommendation about when and where you can get the most value out of your trip to the mountain.

What kind of data does PowderAI gather from me?

Our aim is to give you the best possible recommendation and so we rely upon user preferences gathered via questionnaire as well as real time geo-location data while using the app so that we can gather the most accurate picture of your own ski/snowboard preferences. That being said we also value user privacy and honor that by allowing users to individually opt in or out of specific forms of data collection.

Will PowderAI work for any activities other than skiing/snowboarding?

Currently the program is being limited to these specific activities however we aim to scale the technologies to other activities in the future in the hope that we can help you pick the best times and places year-round no matter what your preferred outdoor activity.
